A rivalry revisited. A lot of people are talking about how David Stern, the Commish, must be creaming in his pants over this match up. This is obviously the most historied rivalry in NBA history dating back to the 60s. There have been 62 Title games played and the Lakers and the Celtics share half of those titles.
Game 1 – The Big Story was Paul Pierce and his “injury”
I think its ok for Pierce to admit that maybe he thought his injury was a little less than what he intially thought. It’s OK to admit that. Instead Pierce gave props to what the ghostbusters would consider a class 5 roaming vapor. ”God sent this angel down, and the angel said, ‘Hey, you’re going to be alright.’ said Pierce.
Game 2 – Lakers huge comeback, falls short
I was watching this game until the end of the 3rd quarter, to where I would flip back and forth. Each time I got back to the game in the 4th quarter, the Lakers were closing the gap at the Garden. The Lakers outscored the celtics in the 4th quarter 41-25 going on a ridiculous run of about 31-4. Somehow the Celtics came back to hold the lead and take game 2 by 4
